K3 HR’s Top 3 - 3 Outsourced HR Impacts as Told by our Clients

Outsourcing HR support (or parts of it) has become an increasingly popular strategy for businesses of all sizes. By entrusting certain HR functions to external experts, companies can unlock a range of benefits that directly contribute to their overall success.

We recently reached out to our clients to understand what they’ve found most impactful in outsourcing their HR functions. Based on their feedback, here are the top three benefits they’ve experienced:

1. The most common impact we have seen in our client feedback has been the confidence gained as a business, in knowing that their employment relations (e.g. recruitment, performance management etc.), and change management documents, policies, and processes are up to date, relevant and compliant with New Zealand legislation. With legislation continuously updating, and many businesses needing to make staffing adjustments it can be difficult to keep track of what documents are needed, what specific processes need to be followed, and then ensuring that these documents and processes are current and mitigate legal risk.

As a business it can often be hard to pinpoint the last time documents and processes had been updated, and with the support of our K3 HR team we’ve been able to perform bespoke audits based on what needs to be checked and updated. This gives businesses the confidence to continue to recruit, run, grow and change their company with sound mind that their documents and systems are current and supporting them in the way they need.

2. Another major impact that our clients have expressed is the time saved in utilising our services. Engaging an outsourced team to take care of your business’ HR functions (large and small) allows your team more time to focus on their priorities and the business goals. Here at K3 HR we have a full range of HR experts that not only know their stuff, but they know how to best utilise their knowledge and skills to fit each business and their unique needs. After meeting with our clients and understanding what support they are needing, they then are free to focus more of their time on other business priorities, leaving the (sometimes gruelling) HR work with us!

3. The final impact that our clients have expressed as being the most beneficial to them is the gained perspective and neutrality that comes with outsourced HR services. Many HR activities can feel highly personal because let’s be honest some processes are quite literally personal matters - a restructuring process, an employee relationship matter, and the recruitment process to name a few. It can be difficult to manage some of these processes where a manager is too closely invested or related to whatever circumstance has come up. Having an “outside” mind to help navigate these situations and give fresh perspectives has been key for many clients, allowing them to see beyond their initial viewpoints and consider every option they have available.

K3 HR takes pride in meeting our clients where they’re at and ensuring that while these very personal processes are being undertook, we supply a neutral and broad perspective to help your business handle it all.

By entrusting HR functions to external experts, our clients continue to see a large range of valuable impacts in their day-to-day processes and reaching long-term goals.
