K3's HR Top 3 Article - 3 Outsourced HR Impacts as Told by our Clients

Outsourcing HR support (or parts of it) has become an increasingly popular strategy for businesses of all sizes. By entrusting certain HR functions to external experts, companies can unlock a range of benefits that directly contribute to the overall success of the business. We recently reached out to our clients to discover what they found most impactful about outsourcing their HR functions. From this feedback, we have identified the top three benefits our clients have experienced when working with outsourced HR.

1. Confidence in Compliance
The most common benefit highlighted by our clients is the confidence gained in knowing that their employment relations (e.g., recruitment, performance management, etc.) and change management documents, policies, and processes are up-to-date, relevant, and compliant with New Zealand legislation. With legislation continuously evolving, and many businesses needing to make staffing adjustments, it can be difficult to track what documents are required, which processes need to be followed, and whether these documents and processes mitigate legal risks.

As a business, it can often be hard to pinpoint the last time documents and processes were updated. With support from our K3 HR team, we’ve been able to perform bespoke audits to identify what needs to be checked and updated. This ensures businesses have the confidence to recruit, run, grow, and change their company, knowing their documents and systems are current and working effectively for their needs.

2. Time Savings
Another major benefit our clients have shared is the time saved by utilising our services. Engaging an outsourced team to handle your business’ HR functions (both large and small) allows your team to focus more on their priorities and business goals. Here at K3 HR, we have a team of experts who not only know their stuff but also know how to best tailor their knowledge and skills to fit the unique needs of each business.

After meeting with our clients and understanding the support they need, they are free to dedicate more time to other business priorities, leaving the (sometimes gruelling) HR work to us!

3. Perspective and Neutrality
The final key benefit our clients have highlighted is the gained perspective and neutrality that comes with outsourced HR services. Many HR activities can feel deeply personal because, let’s face it, some processes are quite literally personal matters—be it a restructuring process, an employee relationship issue, or recruitment.

It can be challenging for managers to navigate such processes when they are too closely involved in the situation. Having an “outside” perspective to help navigate these matters and provide fresh insights has been invaluable for many clients. It allows them to see beyond their initial viewpoints and consider all available options.

K3 HR takes pride in meeting our clients where they’re at and ensuring that, while these personal processes are being undertaken, we provide a neutral and broad perspective to help businesses handle them effectively.

By entrusting HR functions to external experts, our clients continue to experience a wide range of benefits in their day-to-day operations and long-term goals.
